Behold, my World...<BR>May this ecclectic existence quenches your thirst for colors and forms. <BR>May this sensual illustration satisfies your hunger for bodily passion and ethereal spirit. <BR>May this perpetual quest for wisdom stimulates reciprocity. <BR><BR>Finally, another Rushdie's quotation from the same book, <BR>"Let the walls be splashed with our inaccurate expectorating! They will be honest stains, at least."<BR>

My B-day 2007

It was another beautiful B-day that I had not expected.

The first surprise came in a form of three gorgeous huge bouquet of flowers, from Protus (I love you, Cinta)... whose love, though oceans apart at the moment, have brought so much warmth to my heart and soul... Thanx to Jun (Philippines) who helped Protus to buy and create such beautiful bouquet...

The second surprise happened after Jun took me out for dinner in Shangri-La with Afu. Joshua, Chris, Yamada, Yoshitaka, Wakako, Yumi, Takeaki, Hayato, Peter and the gang arranged for a party in Nova, this new hip club.

The third surprise happened in my room... to my surprise... it still amazes me how they get into my room.... My wonderful "kids" - Tiara, Ellena, Mona, Hani, Sisca, Isa, Yohan, Stefani, .... and others... Eric, Yudi, Nita, Indah, Jessica, etc etc..

I love you guyz...

Chinese Folk-Modern Fusion

There is a saying that 99 percent of all Chinese are farmers, and it's true that most Chinese music – excluding the classical, operatic and art music traditions – originates with rural, peasant traditions, and has deep regional roots.

For centuries, farmers in the north have practiced wind-and-percussion ensembles. Ding County of Hebei is famous for artistry in the double reeds: the guanzi (double-reed pipe), the haidi (small oboe) and the suona (Northern oboe). In Xian, the Western Capital of China, musicians for centuries practiced the sheng (a free-reed mouth organ) and di (reeded transverse flute) for joining ensembles called Xian drum music.

Eastern China is "fiddle" country, and bowed instruments such as the erhu, zhonghu, and the gaohu are popular as both solo and ensemble instruments. The Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong provinces have produced a lot of fiddlers, including Wang Dianyu, Zhao Yuchai and the influential A Bing (1893–1950), a street musician famous for his many c...

One day, Raizon's 10 million US$ went missing. He's pissed and after a long list of lawless murder to find the thief, he began to suspect it's an insider's plot. He started questioning everybody, including his woman, Christine and best friends, Ugi and Nuy.
While doing so, he began to show his abusive habits towards Christine, and when Christine retaliated, a long-kept passionate secret was unveiled... OHMIGOD... Nuy is actually Raizon's lover...

Dinner, My 703 Place...

This is, all in all, about Friendship.
About sincerety, kindness, humility and respect.

This is when I hosted Jeremiah's birthday at my place at 703, Luzhenwanlou Fuzhou. It's a couple of weeks late... sorry Miah, sorry Raizon... I am bad with dates... I can't even remember my Mom's or mine... so there.. hehehehe...

I also intend to show of my colorful room.
Kinda proud of my decoration, which basic concept/design I got from a guy whose name I refuse to mention here and who, in my effort to be fair and less proud, can be excluded from the definition of "difficult" at very few times. Still, I have to acknowledge the source of room decoration idea. Well, he did kindly say, afterwards, that my room was "agak norak", compare to his black-blue-big-squares version. Nevertheless, red-orange-yellow-white are the colors I pick in accordance to my fengshui balance, not his and my taste, not his, however "agak norak" it could be. But thanx for the inspiration anyway, Pangeran. (BTW, I di...

Ugana's Farewell

Ugana is my wonderful Mongolian brother. He is such a sweet guy and I miss him so, now that he's back to the Mongolian plateau.

We had dinner at the Little India restaurant in Fuzhou and then continue with the "usual" card-drinking-game session. The usual regulation, If you get a:

JACK = the person on your left has to drink,

QUEEN = the person on your right has to drink, KING = YOU have to drink,

ACE = You can choose whoever to drink,

JOKER = each person dares you to do something, then YOU get to choose one thing and you will have to do it!!!

Kota - Glodok 2007

After over a year pursuing further study in China, it felt simply fantabulous to be home again, with my families and friends. Amongst the most enjoyable traits is the (re)-visit to (China Town) Glodok, Kota with two of my best friends, Lily and Engel...

I grew up as a young adult in Kota... but I haven't been in Kota for around 5-6 years (???) I can't remember. The last recollection of Kota is the singed buildings some years after May 1998.

Stolling through memory lanes, eating food I grew to be fond of during my high school years...

But what is best is that I'm strolling with two of my best

<P><FONT face="trebuchet ms" size=2>We all know about the problem of China's missing girls: the tens of millions of female babies who were selectively aborted after their sex was determined by ultrasound, or were born and then just allowed to die, as families seeking sons took drastic measures to cope with the one-child-per-family rule. By 2020, China will have about forty million more men of marriageable age than it has women for them to marry. Haruka and Emmy decided to be army chicks, together with Megha. I joined them after showing off my traditional Chinese costume (Hey I need to dance). Monika was a pretty pirate, Siska was a bearded detective. Hani was the beautiful Gypsy. Haoying and Wugen was the Two Stooges. Essu was the schoolgirl... hahaha.. along with Akira, Judy and Kimchi, also Isaac. Lads was the Gothic Hip Hop. Songxia had the traditional Chinese outfit too. Marcel was the Barbie Doll. Shyogo was the Burglar along with his ski-mask, dark glasses and baseball bat (He's soooooo funny). Ugana and Nai were the Miami Vice cops... hehehe... Sari was Queen Devil. Mira and Lisa dressed up like guyz (but they're too hot to be guyz...hehe)... It was apparently Akira's birthday too... So we had our Birthday song played at California, and we danced like crazy!!! It was the best night ever in California. <BR><BR>EVE...

PhD.Com = Piled Higher & Deeper

PhD.Com or "Piled Higher and Deeper" is the ongoing chronicle of life (or the lack thereof) in grad school. For a few laughs, you may check out the general fan favorites that poke fun at grad students, research and procrastination.

I find it quite dauntingly refreshing, considering I (as per 12 November 2006) am preparing myself for a PhD degree on Chinese politics n stuff, while right about the same time desperately memorizing and crunching Mandarin vocabs and grammar in Fuzhou, China.

I still have some "life", I suppose, in Fuzhou - if you determine "having a life" as having the time to slack off, to go clubbing, to get drunk, to have BBQ, etc etc, excluding: academic discussions, newspapers/journals reading n writing, civil society activism, bya bya bya... So I guess I might as well enjoy the "superficiality" of life here in Fuzhou....

I see you on the next episode of my life... hopefully, when I actually am doing my PhD...

Gelak Tawa & Multikulturalisme (Laughters & Multiculturalism)

"Be proud of who you are, but don't loose the ability to laugh at yourself."
(Banggalah terhadap dirimu sendiri, tetapi jangan kehilangan kemampuan untuk mentertawakan dirimu sendiri)
